For SCC - 1.28.07 What is prayer?

This past Sunday we moved forward into a new series with and interesting title, "Proseucomai". This is one of the New Testament Greek words for prayer. The music rocked, Anita Fritzsinger and GLARE stirred our souls with the song "When I Call on Jesus", and "Du" AKA Marcus Dulin shared a strong, passionate and very "everyday day" message about prayer. What is prayer?

Prayer is...
conversation with God.
confession of sin (missing the mark).
being in the presence of God.
praise and worship of God.
claiming our dependence on God.
lifting up our souls to God.
the exercise of faith and hope.
the study and understanding of God's will.
a sign of spiritual life.
life changing.

Prayer is the most perfect and the most divine action that which a rational soul is capable of.

Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God for things agreeable to His will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins and thankful acknowledgment of His mercies.
