This past Sunday, 7-20-07, Sunrise hosted another newcomers Luncheon. It was a great time. Meeting new people, hearing stories and watching people connect through common backgrounds and/or common interest. The luncheon also makes us as leaders think through why we believe what we believe and why we do what we do. We have all of this in writing, but really thinking about it leads to some pretty serious introspection. I am glad that we as a church are seeking to live out our core values, mission, beliefs and work to align ourselves with these things we have thought and prayed about in the life of SCC. Makes for a pretty exciting time. People accepting Jesus Christ, growing in Christ and thinking about life and living in general.
