23For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. I Corinthians 11:23-26
Hope: To desire something with some confidence of fulfillment. A desire supported by some confidence in its fulfillment. A ground for expectation. To look forward. Expectation. Confidence. Anticipation. "Be joyful in hope..." Romans 12:12 "I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 "..my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:5b

For SCC - The Lord's Supper/Communion REMEMBER
This past Sunday we took the Lord's Supper /Communion during the Weekend Service. Communion is about remembering. Remembering God's love and sacrifice. Remembering when we made the decision to accept Jesus Christ and begin following Him. Remembering how God has brought about wonderful change in our lives. Remembering our tendency to stray away from God. Remembering our bent towards doing things our way. Remembering God is love. Remembering God is righteous. Remembering we are God's. Remembering, and giving thanks. Remembering. Once we have taken the time to reflect on these things we have the opportunity to move forward and walk with God. Move forward in spiritual disciplines such as prayer, scripture reading, scripture memorization, fellowship, sharing our faith with others, giving financially, serving and individual and corporate worship. As you move forward this week in work, house chores, raising children, earning an income, having fun with friends and family, and in your spiritual growth pause for just a few minutes and remember.
